celebrating the political spectrum
Because of the political division in America right now, I felt compelled to create a space that allows open conversations. We refuse to talk about politics with Americans who contrast our own beliefs. Even if both sides don't agree, conversations cultivate empathy. Everyone has a story and no one was born with a political party tattooed on their back. Behind all of the slurs and violence, there is a person. Let's get to know them
Destini Elise started Humans & Politics in San Francisco because of the political discourse she has experienced since the 2017 election. Speaking to friends and strangers allows her to make sense of our chaotic political climate. She believes politics should be discussed freely without judgment. By sharing their stories, she hopes she can bridge the divide.
